About Timberborn Game

In Timberborn, you take control of a group of lumberpunk beavers and work to create a successful city in a post-human world. You will build vertical structures, manage rivers, and face the threat of drought, all while utilizing the abundant wood resources. It's a unique and challenging city-building experience that will test your resource management and problem-solving skills.

Humans have been gone for a long time, and a new species has taken their place. The beavers, who have adapted and evolved, now have the opportunity to try and build their own society in Timberborn.

This unique city-building experience features a vertical architecture system and ingenious animals. Players can choose between two beaver factions, the Folktails who are nature-friendly or the industrious Iron Teeth. Each faction has their own unique style, buildings, and gameplay traits, so they can choose which fits their playstyle best.

Timberborn also features a wet and dry season system which requires players to stockpile food and keep the fields and forests alive even when the rivers dry up. They must rely on both natural and artificial sources of water to keep the land arable. Additionally, Timberborn has a river control system which allows beavers to construct dams and floodgates, and to redirect rivers to bring life back to the wasteland.

To build the most advanced structures, players must also scavenge for metal from the ruins of the old world and turn timber into sophisticated machinery such as water wheels and sawmills. Timberborn also has mechanized beavers which can power up the colony and provide extra efficient workers.

To really bring life to their colony, players must also satisfy the needs of their beavers with a balanced diet, decorations, and monuments. There is also a day and night cycle which allows players to create a multi-district city with efficient production chains.

For those wanting to customize their experience, Timberborn also features a map editor. Here, players can create their own maps with hills of different heights, ruins scattered in the desert, and other features. They can also share their maps with the community.
