Stoneshard is an unforgiving turn-based RPG set in a medieval kingdom, where you take on the role of a mercenary and travel across a war-torn land, completing contracts and fighting to survive, while developing your character with no restrictions.

Stoneshard is a medieval-themed turn-based RPG set in a harsh and unforgiving open world. Playing as a mercenary, players are tasked with completing contracts, fighting enemies, and developing their character without any restrictions. Stoneshard does not hold the player's hand, and its unforgiving nature means that every decision has consequences that can result in swift death and lost progress.

Exploring the war-torn kingdom of Aldor, players must choose their own path and develop their character with over 200+ abilities and 400+ pieces of equipment. Each battle with enemy factions, such as brigands, abominable cults, and the undead, requires a unique approach, as does the health system. Players must learn how to cauterize bleeding wounds, relieve pain with alcohol and drugs, practice bloodletting, and heal their maladies with various concoctions. In addition, the psyche system will affect how players approach each situation, with high morale giving a greater chance of success and low sanity leading to panic attacks and paranoia. For those who want an even greater challenge, Stoneshard also includes an Ironman mode with permanent death.

Players can also look forward to a variety of updates and content, such as additional settlements, enemy factions, and more activities, equipment, and abilities. One of the most exciting additions is the Caravan system, which will allow players to gather their own caravan and acquire upgrades for it and recruit followers. This will be a great way to rest, hear stories, and gain useful knowledge and skills. The game will also feature a main story where players must solve the mystery of the Stoneshards and make choices in a bleak world.

Stoneshard was released on February 6th, 2020 and was developed by Ink Stains Games and published by HypeTrain Digital. It is available to play on PC, with console versions planned for the future.
