KOF 2002 Unlimited Match is the second title in the UM Series and a full upgrade of the classic KOF 2002. Featuring the largest roster of any KOF title and being based on The Nests Chronicles, KOF 2002UM is a highly acclaimed entry in the KOF Series and fighting game history. This masterpiece of the series deserves its place of honor alongside KOF '98.

The King of Fighters 2002 Unlimited Match is the second title in the UM series and a fully upgraded version of KOF 2002, a masterpiece of the KOF series. It features the most characters of any title in the KOF series and fighting game history, with 66 characters in all. This includes DNA from Kyo and K’, and the original character Nameless. All graphics and background music have been completely redone and the game balance has also been extensively redesigned.

KOF 2002 UM also features new moves and old moves that have been brought back, as well as a fully upgraded and redesigned system and game balance for all characters. This includes special and extra-special moves, former moves and power-changing moves from past series as well as many new moves created for this title. The MAX2 move for all characters is even more impressive than ever, making it easier to use in real matches for a show of supreme power.

This title includes many game modes, such as Challenge Mode, Practice Mode, and Endless Mode. In Challenge Mode, players can practice 50 different moves in both “normal” and “expert” difficulties. Practice Mode allows players to create original combos, and Endless Mode lets them battle against the CPU for as long as their endurance will allow.
