Decades later, the inhabitants of Mars return to Earth for reconnaissance, and when they discover the small human child, known as The Cub, they immediately attempt to capture it. This sets off a thrilling journey of escape, exploration, and discovery through the urban ruins of humanity, combined with frantic cat and mouse chases.

The remnants of humanity are portrayed through the crumbling ruins of civilization, which have been reclaimed by an evolved mother nature. Each level in the game tells a story, with clues scattered throughout the world, revealing the reasons behind the downfall of humanity. Players will encounter crumbling brutalist tower blocks, abandoned genetics labs, depleted chemical mines, and overgrown battlefields as they progress through the game.
