TERRACOTTA is an action-adventure game that puts you in the shoes of a warrior tasked with protecting the Emperor in his afterlife. You’ll have to use your wits and agility to navigate more than 80 levels spread across the elemental paths, relying on strategic thinking and speed to defeat 8 brutal bosses and free the cursed spirits of your fellow warriors.

The game’s art style is based on guo hua, Chinese traditional painting, and the soundtrack is inspired by traditional instruments classified through the ancient Chinese ba yin. As you explore the afterlife of the Terracotta Army, you’ll be able to witness the Qin dynasty from within and save your fellow 8,000 warriors, each of them with unique, individual appearances.

Your journey won’t be easy, as you’ll have to master your ability to channel the Tao and switch between Yin and Yang in order to overcome cursed challenges. Yin is the domain of solitude and tranquility, where you can strategize and prepare for the next challenge. Meanwhile, in Yang, the realm of the afterlife, light and action, you’ll have to execute combat strategies, evade foes and overcome the tomb’s defenders.

In order to progress, you’ll have to use world-shifting abilities and awaken ancient mechanisms throughout your journey. You’ll also have to find a balance between cunning and power to save the cursed spirits. You’ll be able to use weapons and gadgets such as bows, arrows, bombs and grappling hooks, as well as powerful elemental abilities.

TERRACOTTA is a project funded by Red.es and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Red.es Program to promote the videogame industry. These grants are co-funded by the Spanish ERDF Pluri-Regional Operative Program (POPE) 2014-2020, making it a unique and ambitious game.
