London, 1888. The ten year long battle between Britain and the Selenites, a race of insect-like aliens, has come to a close. Thanks to the heroic efforts of a dashing officer by the name of Hugo Wells, the Selenites’ Queen was vanquished and the British Empire was saved. With the war over, the Selenites were welcomed into British society and soon became the new workforce of the industrial revolution.

Despite the newfound prosperity, the working and middle classes of London had become restless and unruly. To appease their needs, Hugo Wells came up with a new form of entertainment. He called it Speed Brawl and it quickly became the most popular sport in the country.

Speed Brawl was a high-speed combat race featuring the bravest and most worthy warriors of Britain. The objective was simple: race around tracks, collect power-ups and defeat the Selenite hordes. As the popularity of the game grew, so did the number of competitors. Soon, teams of brawlers were formed to take part in the thrilling races.
