You awaken in an abandoned space station with no memory of who you are or why you are there. You are being hunted by an unknown force, and must embark on a journey throughout the universe to uncover the secrets of your past and reclaim your former glory. Along the way, you will explore strange planets and explore ancient space stations, all while fighting to stay alive.

Lost Empire 2977 is a third-person, single-player action RPG that takes place in a futuristic sci-fi universe. Players begin their journey in an ancient, abandoned space station, with no recollection of their identity and an unknown force hunting them. To discover the truth of their past, they must explore a vast universe and visit strange worlds and space stations, fighting to reclaim their lost glory.

Lost Empire 2977 offers a range of gameplay, with players able to choose multiple paths to complete missions and defeat their enemies. They can use a jetpack to fly short distances, bring along allies to fight alongside them, and summon an army of subjects to overwhelm the enemy. In addition, they can use vehicles to move around and explore the universe, travelling to alien planets and derelict ships and abandoned research sites.

Players can customize their character, choosing from four races and classes, and two character models, male and female. As they gain experience, they can unlock new abilities and powers.
