You were seen as a hero for saving the world, but the truth was that you had faked a prophecy with magical illusions. Now, however, it is becoming a reality and you must face the consequences of your deception.

Heroes of Myth is an interactive novel by Abigail C. Trevor, where choices the player makes control the outcome of the story. Set three years ago when the world thought it was saved by a prophecy, it is revealed that the prophecy was nothing more than an illusion created by the protagonist and their friends. Now, as the omens associated with the false prophecy come true, the world expects the same heroes to save them again.

The player takes on the role of the hero, and must decide how they will save the world. Will they use their powers of illusion to deceive the people, or will they face up to their responsibilities and become the hero that everyone expects them to be?

Heroes of Myth allows players to choose between playing as male, female, or non-binary, gay, straight or bisexual, monogamous or poly, asexual or aromantic. Throughout the game, players will interact with suspicious royals, craft clever illusions, charm their way through conversations, and battle demons from beyond the realm.

Players can also choose to romance a prince, a bard, a long-lost friend, a false prophet, or a visitor from realms beyond. They must also defend castles, villages, and their own minds from demonic attacks. Additionally, they will have to decide if they will help their friends protect their positions, or sacrifice their secrets for the greater good.

Heroes of Myth also includes a tournament of the greatest mages from across the land and a battle with a centuries-old monster. Players must decide who they will side with and if they will be a hero, a liar, or both.
