Colors:Zero is an interactive storytelling experience set in a neo noir universe, where players take on the role of a detective assigned to investigate mysterious murders. With the help of the clues and evidence uncovered, the player must unravel the mysteries and uncover the truth.

Colors:Zero is an interactive storytelling set in a neo noir universe, where the player takes on the role of a detective to investigate strange murders. Developed by Cid and published by Cid, Colors:Zero follows the story of Walter Koch, a private investigator suffering from a mild mental disorder, as he investigates the mysterious city of Shadeon.

The game features several different modes and mechanics, such as basic movement and camera styles, 3D exploration, cinematic cutscenes, interactive cutscenes, dialogue trees, post-cognition mode and a node-based puzzle investigation board. In addition, players can also inspect objects, take items, meet and talk to people, inspect crime scenes, and take photos. There are also 6 different endings with variations.

In order to progress in the game, players must use their detective skills to solve the cases and uncover the truth behind the mysterious murders. Players must pay attention to every detail, take notes, and inspect the crime scenes, objects and photos to get the right clues and make deductions. For example, when inspecting the crime scene, players can identify blood spatter patterns, look for fingerprints and footprints, and analyze the evidence to make the right deductions.

Players can also use post-cognition mode to reconstruct the crime scene. This mode allows players to piece together the evidence and replay the crime scene to gain a better understanding of what happened. During the investigation, players must also talk to people and use their dialogue choices to get the right information.

Once all the clues have been gathered, players must use them to build the case and make deductions. This is done by using TheCase, a node-based puzzle investigation board. Here, players must connect the evidence and make deductions to uncover the truth.

Finally, players must go through a series of interrogations to get the final pieces of the puzzle. Here, they must choose their dialogue choices carefully as one wrong move could lead to the wrong conclusions. With all the pieces in place, players must then make their final deductions and choose the right ending.
