In Breakers World, a sci-fi RPG set on a dystopian barren planet, players must upgrade their power armor, recruit a loyal crew, and build a spaceship to escape the oppressive rule of the planet. With open-ended character development and a unique world full of rust, danger, and opportunity, Breakers World offers an exciting and thrilling adventure.

Breakers World is a sci-fi action-adventure RPG with team and base-building elements. The player takes on the role of a Core Hunter, an adventurer class with the ability to grow and develop in any way they choose. On a barren planet, the player is tasked with exploring, fighting, and salvaging valuable scrap from decommissioned starships to build a spaceship and escape.

In order to progress, the player must find System Cores that can be added to their power armor to advance their skills and abilities. Additionally, they must recruit five Core-enhanced crew members, one to operate each of the ship’s subsystems. As they battle against the oppressive management of the planet, the player must also be careful who they recruit to their own crew and take steps to remain hidden.

Breakers World features a unique open-ended character development system and branching dialog choices, allowing for meaningful choices and high replayability. The game also boasts beautiful 3D environments and mocap animation, as well as cinematic dialog and digital humans. Developed by students and externs at Full Sail University, Breakers World is an ambitious project that was created in 9 months and released on October 5, 2022.
