Grendel Jinx and an unknown companion face a deadly challenge: they must escape a strange school where students and teachers are being slaughtered by an unknown force. Grendel Jinx and her “friend” are caught in a strange school, where pupils and teachers alike are being killed in mysterious circumstances. In order to stay alive and uncover the truth, the two must work together to find a way out. WTC : Relentless Protagonist [SxS] Game is an interactive comedy/drama/thriller visual novel, set in a semi-fictional world of secret organisations.

The protagonist and Grendel Jinx are forced to collaborate due to Grendel’s mother’s schemes, in order to prevent an enemy group from deploying a dangerous weapon. However, they eventually find themselves trapped in the Pleasant Grove Secondary School, where everyone believes they are transfer students.

As they get to know their schoolmates, deaths start occurring. To prevent themselves from becoming casualties as well, the protagonist and Grendel must solve the mystery behind the killings. Who – or what – is responsible for this carnage? Are the murders caused by invisible aliens known as ‘Enemies Of Civilisation’ or something else?

The game choices affect the ending, as well as the secondary story path. Additionally, the game features over a hundred CG screens, a 79,000 word story, anime-style characters, internal and external achievements, and three different endings with two epilogues.

The protagonist’s parents are held hostage, leaving them with no choice but to work with Grendel Jinx to stop the weapon. Grendel is a lazy, arrogant, anime-loving megalomaniacal kleptomaniac, while Mrs. Jinx works for another group, often getting involved with Grendel and the protagonist’s life, much to their chagrin.
