Ultra Age is an action-packed adventure game that takes place in a futuristic version of Earth, where mutants and robots run rampant. Players take on the role of Age, a young soldier who has been tasked with saving humanity from destruction. In the year 3174, Earth's resources have become scarce, and the planet has been permanently altered by a passing meteor. The population of Earth has split into two groups: those who have fled to the space colony, 'Orbital Arc,' and those who remain on Earth in a facility called 'The Shelter.' Unfortunately, the experiment that the people from The Shelter were conducting failed, causing humanity to vanish from Earth. In an effort to find resources, the people from the Orbital Arc send expeditions to Earth, but they find no signs of life.

The game follows Age, a young warrior who falls to Earth from orbit. With the help of his floating android, Helvis, he must find the key that will save humanity. Players will slash their way through enemies with a variety of blades, executing high-speed and stylish moves. Players can change blades on the fly to create powerful combos and strategies against different types of foes.

Players can launch the wire skill to pull smaller enemies towards them, or use Quantum Warp to instantly access larger enemies. The wire can also be used to traverse gaps and grab items. Players can gather elements to enhance their blades, expand their skills, and learn new combos. They can also install modules and power gear to level up Age and increase their arsenal of blades to take down the toughest of enemies.

The game features cutscenes that showcase Age's journey across futuristic mecha, forests, and deserts. Players will encounter mysterious characters and overcome menacing bosses to uncover the story behind the fate of humankind.
