Transcendence is an open-world, single-player game that takes players on an exciting space adventure. Set in the year 2419, humanity has expanded its reach across hundreds of star systems, thanks to the stargates built by an ancient alien race. However, a mysterious hyperintelligence compels individuals to travel to the Galactic Core, leading to the quarantine of Human Space by the Ancient Races. In this game, players assume the role of a lone spaceship pilot who must acquire powers and survive long enough to uncover a secret that poses a threat to the entire galaxy.

The game offers an immersive experience as players navigate through dozens of randomly generated star systems. To survive, players must adapt their strategies to the different challenges they encounter. Each playthrough is unique, ensuring that no two games are ever alike. Throughout their journey, players will encounter various enemy ships and stations, each with distinct abilities. From battling Anarchist battlepods to defending against the EMP attack of the Dwarg masters, players must be prepared to face a range of adversaries.

In Transcendence, players can scavenge wreckage to obtain more powerful weapons, armor, and shields. Alternatively, they can purchase these items at friendly stations. Completing missions for the Commonwealth Fleet or assisting the Corporate Hierarchy with their research can also earn players unique high-tech weapons. Additionally, players can earn money by escorting Korolov Corporation freighters, extracting exotic ores from asteroid fields, competing in gladiatorial games at the Battle Arena Maximus, or engaging in the Black Market to sell illicit goods for profit.

The game includes two paid expansions: Corporate Command and Eternity Port. In Corporate Command, players have the opportunity to fly missions for the elite Corporate Hierarchy Operations Command. They can explore the world of corporations and unravel the mystery of the chimeras, a formidable enemy that poses a threat to Human Space. Meanwhile, in Eternity Port, players assume the role of a CDM mercenary hired by the virtual inhabitants of Eternity Port. Equipped with an onboard AI, players gain powers in both the physical and virtual worlds. However, when a digital hyperintelligence threatens the entirety of Human Space, the reclusive cyber-citizens of Eternity Port become the only hope.

Transcendence is a living game, continuously being improved through core updates and DLCs. The development team plans to release the next major update, focusing on Part II of the Pilgrim's story, which will explore the rest of the galaxy and the realm of the Ancient Races. In the meantime, several minor releases are also planned. For Steam users, the game will support achievements and cloud saves.
