Step into the shoes of Liao Tianding, the legendary Taiwanese Folk Hero, and explore the dazzling streets of Colonial Japanese Taiwan in the early 20th century in the sidescrolling action game The Legend of Tianding.

The Legend of Tianding is a thrilling sidescrolling action game set during the early 20th century in Colonial Japanese Taiwan. Players assume the role of Liao Tianding (also known as Liāu Thiam-Ting), an outlaw vigilante who is wanted by the colonial authorities. The game is based on real events, people and situations, and is presented in the style of traditional Chinese manga.

Players will battle the colonial authorities with fast-paced kung fu and a host of weapons, such as a tanto and a waist sash, along with a grappling hook to fly around the battlefield. They will also face intense bosses such as courtesans, businessmen and military leaders, each with their own dynamic abilities and brutal attacks.

As they explore the Dadaocheng area of Taipei city, players will be able to run through streets, ride a speeding train, and make their escape through dark sewers. They will be able to tailor Liao Tianding's abilities to their playstyle with equippable talismans that grant bonuses such as increased health, faster stamina regeneration and reduced damage taken.

Players can take a break from their rebellion by taking part in a traditional Taiwanese board game. They can see how their legend stacks up against their friends' with online leaderboards, and test their skills against Tianding's rogue's gallery in Boss Rush mode.
