In The Cloud Dream of the Nine Game, players take control of one female character and embark on a journey of love with nine different male characters. The choices made by the player can drastically alter the fate of these characters, leading to different endings that are crafted by the player. It's a vast love story where the decisions made can bring both joy and sorrow.

The Cloud Dream of the Nine is an otome visual novel with a unique twist. It is a reverse gender adaptation of the classic novel by Kim Man-joong, which follows the vast love story of one female character and nine male characters. Your choices throughout the story will determine each character’s fate, and lead to new endings.

The main features of this game are its vast amounts of stories, with 850,000 characters (roughly 6 novels). Each character has its own story, so it takes approximately 50 hours to complete the whole game. There are also several mini games in between to relax and keep the play from becoming too boring. All of the male characters have full Korean voice overs. If you clear certain conditions, you can also unlock a special voice drama that lasts one hour and a 40,000-character side story.

The visuals of this game are also impressive, with 200 CGs that appear throughout the story, as well as some that are hard to find on PC and mobile. There are also newly added spin-off stories and daily life stories of the female character and three male characters, as well as voice, CGs, and OSTs of the male characters.

The characters you will encounter in this game include Chaeyoon (voiced by Choi Jihun), who is Soyu’s childhood friend and almost like a family to her; Wol (voiced by Lee Hosan), the son of the lord of Nakyang and the playboy whose name is well-known in State of Cheonin; Kyungwon (voiced by Um Sanghyun), the youngest son of Prime Minister Jung; Chungwoon (voiced by Kim Sangbaek), the military family member who is loyal to the royal family of State of Cheonin; Baeknan (voiced by Shim Gyuhyuk), the youngest son of the lord of Nakyang Castle; Soha (voiced by Oh Byeongjo), the only child of the late king; Simyeon (voiced by Jang Minhyuk), the man who was bumped into on the street of Hwaju Castle; Haerang (voiced by Shin Yongwoo), the Dragon King who manages the East Sea; and Hongyeom (voiced by Wie Hun), the man who was bumped into while looking for Chaeyoon.
