The Backrooms: Survival is a unique horror survival game with roguelike elements. Players find themselves in seemingly never-ending corridors, the Backrooms, with the goal of finding a way out. To survive, players must explore the randomly generated levels, scavenging for food and drink, avoiding any possible hostiles, and maintaining their sanity. With up to six players online, you can experience the Backrooms together or join an online game in the public lobby.

The game provides a retro style graphic art inspired by gaming consoles in the 1990s, as well as a crafting system where materials found throughout the Backrooms can be gathered and transformed into items, weapons, and tools. You can even choose your player, with the option of a random player or creating your own with a name, avatar, and profession.

For those who don't make it out, all unsuccessful attempts are recorded in the Obituary System which records information such as player name, age, profession, death cause, and more. This system is similar to a leader board/high score system, giving players a chance to compete with others in reaching the highest, deepest levels of the Backrooms.
