Players must attract new citizens and grow their settlement by expanding the irrigation system, building walls, palaces, temples, and ziggurats. As the player progresses, they must research new technologies, manage their production, hire workers, and trade with other settlements.

The game begins with a small settlement near a river where players must ensure their citizens are able to grow their own food and buy the products they need from market stalls. To attract new inhabitants, players must build temples and hire priests to increase their religious influence and prosperity. They must also pay their workers’ salaries with the crops from their own fields, build walls, and provide services like access to water, guard posts, and beautification.

Players must also expand their agricultural areas by constructing irrigation canals and build up their economy by constructing transporters and storage buildings to move goods, preserve products better, and unlock new trade routes for profits.
