Space Engineers is a sandbox game that allows players to build and pilot their own ships and stations, explore planets and gather resources for survival. Players can engineer and construct space stations, ships, and planetary outposts of varying sizes, and use them to explore the depths of space and beyond. With a unique blend of engineering and survival, Space Engineers offers a unique experience unlike any other.

Space Engineers is an open-world sandbox game focused on engineering, construction, exploration and survival in space and on planets. Players have the freedom to design and create their own ships, space stations, planetary outposts and various structures, pilot their creations and explore the vast expanses of the universe. With both creative and survival modes, there are no limits to what players can build, use and discover.

Space Engineers features a realistic, volumetric-based physics engine, meaning everything in the game can be assembled, disassembled, damaged and destroyed. Players can choose to play in single or multiplayer modes and have the ability to customize their characters with skins, colors and more. The size of the game world is almost infinite and procedural asteroids provide an endless number of ships and stations to explore.

Players can use the welder and grinder to build and disassemble blocks from components and use the electric and computer networks to power their creations. There are over 200 different blocks to choose from including gravity generators, jump drives, turrets, doors, landing gears, assemblers, refineries, rotors, wheels, thrusters, pistons, wind turbines and more. The programmable block allows players to write small programs that can be executed in the game and the visual script editor can be used to create missions and game modes for others to play.

For an even more immersive experience, oxygen can be generated out of ice by using the oxygen generator and hydrogen thrusters, tanks and bottles can be used to power ships and stations. Factions can be created and joined, ownership of blocks managed and relations between them set. Weapons such as rifles and explosive warheads can be used for defense, and cargo ships carrying ore, ingots and other materials can be looted.

Space Engineers is available in multiple languages, including English, Russian, Chinese, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese-Brazil, Czech, Danish, Dutch, German, Icelandic, Polish, Spanish-Spain, Spanish-Latin America, Finnish, Hungarian, Estonian, Norwegian, Swedish, Slovak and Ukrainian. The Steam Workshop is also available for players to share their creations with the community.
