SÆLIG is a game that blends simulation, strategy, RPG, and business management into a single experience. Players take on the role of a family, struggling to survive and build wealth while managing their resources and relationships. Through this unique combination of genres, SÆLIG offers an engaging and immersive journey.

SÆLIG is an incredibly unique game that blends together elements of simulation, strategy, RPG, and business management to create a truly unique and immersive experience. Set in the year 880 A.D., you and your family must survive in the Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Wessex during a time of turmoil and strife.

You start the game with a plethora of options, from becoming an employee, travelling trader, landlord, business owner, hunter, beggar, or starting with a house and some gold. The life you choose to lead, and the actions you take, will shape the world around you. Start a family and create a dynasty, become an abbot and run a church, become a guard captain and be above the law, or become a gravedigger and make your wage by sending off the dead. You can even become a teacher and look after the village children at the Learning Hall.

The game provides a living, breathing world where each character is trying to survive and prosper. Each character has their own life from start to finish and has the potential to shape the world around them, just like you. Dynamic seasons and weather will affect the world around you, and you will have to forage for supplies and sell them to market, or trade between markets to make a living. There are many buildings to build, purchase, and upgrade, and disasters like fires and diseases will have the potential to decimate your home and the towns and villages all over the map.

The economy is a living, breathing organism that requires your attention as well. You can buy and run businesses to supply the town with much needed goods, or buy land and develop it into new buildings to help the town grow. You can even be a bit of a thug and steal your way to riches if you so choose.

The Knowledge System is an incredibly unique feature of the game that allows you to improve on your actions and skills by doing them repeatedly. As you perform certain actions, you will be able to upgrade your character to become more efficient and successful.

The game also provides a variety of opportunities to make money. You can trade goods between markets, rent out huts and houses, or even hoard food and destroy the economy. It’s up to you how you want to play and make your mark on the world.

SÆLIG is currently in Early Access and is still under development, but it’s already a captivating and immersive experience. Come join the adventure and make your own path in this unique and thrilling game.
