Travel to the mysterious world of Petrichor V, where danger lurks around every corner. The planet has been engulfed by a corrupting power, one that comes from the far reaches of the universe. This power is known as The Void, and it has unleashed a horde of monsters, creatures and artifacts that threaten the safety of the planet.

In Risk of Rain 2: Survivors of the Void, brave adventurers are invited to join the fight to reclaim Petrichor V from the Void. Players have access to two new survivors, Railgunner and Void Fiend, each with their own unique set of skills and abilities. Railgunner specializes in long range combat and can use her first-person scope to pick off enemies from a distance. Void Fiend is able to manipulate the corruption from The Void, allowing him to unleash powerful attacks.

The expansion also comes with 14 Void Items, 5 pieces of equipment, 4 lunar items and 18 standard items, all of which alter the game in various ways. For example, the Void Ukulele has been changed to target single enemies instead of crowds. Players can also explore three new stages, Aphelian Sanctuary, Sulfur Pools and Siphoned Forest.
