From securing your perimeter to ensuring that your prisoners are treated humanely, you’ll need to use a combination of management and muscle to keep your prison running smoothly. You’ll need to hire trustworthy staff members such as armed guards, psychologists, doctors, lawyers, and informants to help keep your prison in check, as well as create and implement customized treatment programs, labor schedules, and reform workshops for each inmate.

But it’s not just about keeping your prisoners in line. You’ll also need to maintain a healthy environment for your inmates and staff. This means investing in disease control, gang activity prevention, legal suits, and more. You’ll need to be mindful of your budget, as any overspending can lead to financial strain and unrest.

In addition to managing your own prison, you can also choose to break out of your own supermax prison in Escape Mode or test one of 12,000 player-created prisons in Online Mode. If you’re feeling more adventurous, you can expand your empire without limit in Sandbox Mode!
