Welcome to Eyre City, a bustling metropolis in Australia’s heartland and home to the Moonwave Cruiser Company. Here, you’ll take on contracts as an underworld courier, delivering goods and services while navigating the neon-lit streets. You must balance your finances, reputation, and standing with multiple characters in order to survive the volatile city.

You start out with nothing but a few credits and a car. You’re lucky enough to find work as a driver for Moonwave Cruiser Company, where discretion is rewarded with good pay. But there’s more to the job than just accepting contracts. You’ll need to learn the streets of Eyre City and its suburbs to get from A to B without running around in circles. You must also make sure to take enough contracts to cover the expenses of life within the walls.

As you take on contracts, you’ll be exposed to multiple characters and organizations. Your primary contact at Moonwave is Vance, part of the management. You’ll also come across ‘A concerned citizens association’, a ‘private caller’ and their organization, Agent Yoshida North of one of the many federal agencies, Mack the egotistical gambler, the Ronin gang, the Crimson Vanguard, Information Incorporated, EDEN Augmentations, the Eyre City Chancellery, the Centralia Police Force, and the United Oasis Association.

Each of these characters and organizations have their own unique goals and agendas and you must balance them all in order to survive. As you build up your reputation, you’ll gain access to more lucrative jobs and open up new opportunities. But be careful, as a wrong move could result in trouble from any number of people who may come to want you off the streets.

In Moonwave Overdrive, you’ll have five customisable vehicles at your disposal to help you get around. You’ll also be able to explore six different suburbs, take on more than 150 unique contracts, and listen to two radio stations. You can even add up to 20 of your own songs to the game.

The game also features five different character story lines, a volatile reputation system, and a versatile photo mode. You must use all of these features to your advantage to thrive in the midst of the Megapolis’ power players.

So suit up, and take to the streets of Eyre City in Moonwave Overdrive. It won’t be easy, but if you can keep your balance and make the right moves, you may just find a way to survive the demands of the city.
