Mato Anomalies is a turn-based RPG that offers players the chance to take control of two very distinct protagonists: Doe, a private detective and Gram, an exorcist. As the two protagonists, players will be tasked with uncovering the dark secrets behind the city of Mato.

Players must explore the city of Mato and find clues by talking to NPCs, taking on missions and visiting shops. These clues will help players pinpoint Rifts, portals to demonic creatures that are attacking the city. Players must then enter these Rifts and battle the demonic creatures in order to obtain rewards.

Players must also make use of an unlikely band of misfits to help them uncover the truth. Difficult circumstances make for unlikely friendships, and players must find new allies during their investigations and gain their trust through conversation and shared experiences.

The battle system in Mato Anomalies is both unique and challenging. Players must make use of the shared health across all team members, gear matrix and dual-talent system to create a unique combat strategy if they hope to succeed.

Players will also have to traverse both the world of Mato, a neo-futuristic version of a bygone oriental city and the Rifts, portals to a place beyond space and time. These Rifts are filled with powerful enemies, and players must be prepared to face them in battle.

Finally, players must keep an eye out for insidious factions, as they are somehow involved in the dark fate befalling Mato. Players must find out what’s going on and determine whether they are corrupt or corrupted.
