Ludus Mortis is an upcoming game set in Rome during the 4th century AD. In an attempt to regain their dominance, the members of the Roman Senate turn to necromancy to create an army of undead and demons to fight against the imperial soldiers.

Year after year, the armies of undead summoned by the Senate have taken over, enslaving the Roman population and imposing themselves on the senators. Amidst this chaos, an ancient gladiatorial school continues to train soldiers for the games.
