Lovecraft's Untold Stories is an action roguelite game with RPG elements, where players explore randomly generated levels based on Lovecraft's stories to fight cultists, monsters and the Great Old Ones. As they progress, they can improve their gear, solve puzzles and find clues and knowledge to help them defeat their foes.

Lovecraft’s Untold Stories is a unique action-roguelite with RPG elements, based on H.P. Lovecraft’s stories. Players will explore randomly generated levels inspired by Lovecraft’s tales and fight off cultists, monsters and the Great Old Ones. There are five playable characters, each with their own playstyle and storyline. Players will need to investigate their environment thoroughly in order to find clues and knowledge to defeat the Elder Gods.

Lovecraft’s Untold Stories offers a unique and immersive experience to players. With randomly generated levels, the game provides a different experience every time. Players will explore different locations such as old Victorian mansions, abandoned hospitals, and lost tribes in the jungle. Each character has different stats, weapons, and combat moves, making the game even more varied.

Players can choose from five characters. The Private Detective is a balanced character with average Health and Stamina. The Professor is a specialist in ranged combat and has a special shield granted by his weapon, the Tillinghast. The Witch does a lot of damage, has teleport abilities and elemental shields of fire and ice, but a very low Health. The Thief is a specialist in melee combat, taking advantage of its stealth to maximize damage. The Ghoul does a lot of melee damage, has a high Health and regenerates itself, but cannot use medkits at all.

In order to defeat the Great Old Ones, players need to acquire knowledge about them. Special items can be found around the levels that contain information on the Elder Gods. The more knowledge they have, the stronger their mind will become. However, if they are not thorough enough, they may not get all the information and will be left unprepared to face the Great Old Ones.

Players will also face situations that can drive them to insanity. Making the wrong decisions can start to shake their sanity and they will eventually go mad. However, there are ways to recover sanity. They can also come across secret levels and stories that can be unlocked by looking for items and clues.

Players will also have access to a variety of weapons, items, and artifacts which can be collected and improved. Every character has their own set of weapons and items, and there are hundreds of other items to find and use.
