KnifeBoy Rebooted is a unique 2D action-adventure game set in a semi-open world. Players take on the role of KnifeBoy, a rebel leader brought back from the dead to oppose the newly established regime and save his girlfriend, Blue. Players must fight a diverse cast of enemies, defeat powerful bosses and avoid deadly traps. Along the way, players must explore an alternative Nevada and collect power-ups and comic books to learn about KnifeBoy’s past.

The game’s story is told through environmental storytelling, NPC conversations and the comic books collected throughout the game. Players must observe their surroundings to fully understand the past, present and future of this uniquely told story.

Players must traverse 8 levels and an open-hub-world filled with side quests, collectibles and power-ups. Side quests include investigations into conspiracies such as “Is BigFoot real?” and “Roswell U.F.O”. The game also features tight platforming gameplay where players must jump and dodge obstacles in order to progress.
