Ib Game is an exploration adventure game set in an eerie, mysterious art gallery. Players take on the role of a young girl named Ib, who is visiting the gallery with her parents. When Ib realizes she is alone, the museum begins to change in inexplicable ways. Players must explore the area around them, uncover items and disarm traps, in order to find their way out of the strange gallery.

The game features pixel art-style artwork, and basic controls that involve movement and an interact button. Through different choices, players can unlock seven unique endings. Upon completion, they will be rewarded with the True Guertena exhibit, which allows them to collect the artwork found throughout the game and access an extra dungeon.

Ib Game is a remake of the original 2D exploration-adventure title, and comes with improved screen resolution and graphics, as well as new graphics for maps, characters, and stills. Players will encounter more than just new pieces of artwork; they will also find additional puzzles, effects, and tricks that were not present in the original. In addition, a Zoom Mode has been implemented, allowing players to spot small items and view artwork in greater detail. Furthermore, a conversation system has been added, allowing companions to offer hints and engage in conversation. Lastly, a brand new BGM composed specifically for the remake will be present.
