Galactic Empire is a 2D turn-based strategy game where you, as the Commander, control the fate of the universe. Expand your planet, explore solar systems, play cards in cantinas, modify your ships and conquer new planets as you build your empire.

Galactic Empire is a 2D turn-based strategy game that allows you to take control of a universe and determine its fate. As the Commander, you will be able to expand your planet, explore solar systems, play cards in cantinas, modify your ships and conquer more planets. In order to complete the game, you will have to fulfill the victory conditions that you choose.

When you start the game, you can choose from one of three character classes: Architect, Scientist, or General. Each of them has a set of unique abilities that can be improved and used during the game. You can also buy the other two ability packs. Each class determines your basic resource extraction, reduces costs (buildings/research/ships), and influences the strategy.

Players can also choose the planet type they want to play on. All planets have their own characteristics such as resource deposits, food abundance, temperature, building fields, starting population, and even unique buildings.

Every turn, you will have to plan out the actions of your empire. This includes building upgrades, research, constructing ships and upgrading them, turn-based battles against other Factions, an original card game, managing defense systems when attacked by other Factions, Diplomacy, population management and much more.

You can upgrade your buildings, research technology, and construct ships. Leveling up your empire will give you access to new tech blueprints. Population management is also important as there are four social classes: unemployed, workers, engineers, and clerks. Players must assign the right job to each of them.

Ship parts can be used to modify the parameters of ships, changing their use in battle. In cantinas, players can buy decks of cards and play an original card game. Upgrading the deck is also an option. Factions play a big part in Galactic Empire, as your actions will affect your reputation with them. Friendly factions may even allow you to colonize their planets.

From time to time, players will receive a variety of laws to sign that will affect the functioning of their empire. There is also a leaderboard wherein players can view their completed matches and their results. The game includes an achievement system and tutorials to help beginners get a better grasp on the game. There are four difficulty levels: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Extreme. The game also contains over 40 minutes of original soundtrack.
