FUR Squadron is an arcade space shooter game that follows the thrilling journey of a team of elite pilots who embark on a routine training mission in virtual reality. What awaits them is an unexpected and dangerous journey full of mind-blowing environments, synthwave music, and a relentless enemy.

The game takes place in the world of fur_net, a fictional virtual system that is rendered with a retrowave aesthetic. This unique atmosphere is accompanied by a unique synthwave soundtrack to add to the aesthetic.

Players will get to control a variety of different ships as they face off against the minions of the evil Skal Empire. The game encourages fast-paced action and quick reflexes, as players will have to battle their way through levels full of enemies in order to reach the massive boss at the end.

Players can also upgrade their ship for maximum performance, as well as unlock secrets within the levels. There are six levels in total, and three difficulty levels to choose from.

The story of FUR Squadron revolves around the main characters, Blaze Mustela, Kiro Nax, and Axel Mex. Blaze is the leader of the squadron and is always determined to accomplish the mission. Kiro was prevented from flying with his own wings, so he learned to pilot and has become a valuable member of the team. Axel was abandoned as a tadpole, but was adopted by Blaze and recruited into the FUR Squadron. She is the team's engineer and computer expert, as well as a pilot.

The game features a unique Steam Deck compatible mode, and a lovely axolotl. FUR Squadron is a classic 90's shooter with modern visuals and smooth controls. It's sure to be a thrilling experience for any gamer.
