Frontiers Reach is a mission-based space and atmospheric combat game with a retro-aesthetic inspired by the Cold War era, blending a story-driven sim-lite experience.

In the year 2230, the human race stands on the brink of war. On one side is the corrupt and aging Sol Confederacy, and on the other is the newly formed Frontier Republic. Neither side is willing to back down and the coming conflict will be devastating to the entire galaxy.

In the midst of this chaos, one small vessel has set out on a mission of hope. The Heliosiren, captained by Anya Zuban and Rhen Malavik, is ferrying a group of survivors away from the war to a distant and unknown location. It is their mission to find a new home and safety away from the conflict.

Frontiers Reach is a mission based, story driven, sim-lite space and atmospheric combat game set in a retro-aesthetic inspired by the Cold War era. Players will take control of the Heliosiren, and its crew, on their mission to escape the coming war.

Gameplay consists of 25 story missions across several of the game’s locations, with players engaging in intense dogfights and atmospheric combat. During missions, players will be able to talk to characters aboard the Heliosiren to get side missions for additional lore and salvage points.

In addition to these missions, players will also be able to engage in an interstellar war across 37 locations. As they progress they will be able to create their own character, choose a portrait, name, profession, and homeworld, that will be referenced in the dialogue as the story unfolds.

Frontiers Reach features a detailed simulation of radar and sensors, physics and gravity, sandbox style levels, and realistic AI opponents. Each fighter has a detailed cockpit with lots of visual feedback to help the player make informed decisions.

The game also features a WARMAP, which is a whole other sandbox mechanic. On the WARMAP, players are able to organize wingmen into flights and then take on WARMAP missions.

Players also have the option to customize their starfighter, from the engines to the countermeasures, using the tools and salvage available to them. They can also choose a squadron logo and color scheme for their fighter and save it out to share with friends across the internet.

Frontiers Reach is Adult Accessible, with all of the activities in the game designed to be completed within a 20 minute time span. With some activities leaving the option for resupply and untimed exploration of the level at the player’s leisure, Frontiers Reach is a game you can fit into a lunch break.
