Crash-landing on a hostile planet, you must build the strongest possible defenses if you want to survive and escape. But be warned - this planet is merciless and unforgiving, so you must construct your defenses with strength and intelligence, or risk them being wiped out by the planet's unforgiving forces.

Crash land on an alien planet and you'll need to build the strongest defenses if you wish to survive and escape. This planet is no joke; you must be smart and build wisely, or physics could flood or destroy your hopes of survival.

Dig or Die is a unique and innovative game that challenges you to explore, fight, craft and build your defenses if you wish to live. You'll need to use strategy to survive the massive attacks that come each night; building strong walls and placing turrets in the right places is key. But beware; build too much or too fast and your structures may collapse due to physics. You'll also need to be careful during heavy rains, as the water levels can rise quickly and take you by surprise.

You play as a representative of CRAFT & Co. company, who were selling automated fabrication tools when your spacecraft crashed. Now you must use the tools you sell and the local resources to build up all of what you need to survive and eventually escape the planet.

New content has been added to the game, including classic solo and multiplayer co-op play as well as custom game modes such as Under the Sea (start in a cave under a huge ocean!), Sky World (a random world composed of hundreds of flying islands), and Base Defense (no exploration, only base building and defense). The Hazardous Events option can also be activated to trigger various surprises like Meteor Shower, Rain Flood, Earthquake, Volcano Eruption and even a Sharkstorm. Creative Mode also allows you to produce all items for free, including cheated items and tools to modify terrain or create water and lava.

Dig or Die is a fun and strategic game from the start. You don't have to worry about slow digging, so you can concentrate on exploration, fights and strategy. Your ultimate goal is to build a rocket ship to escape the planet. Fights are no joke; the world is consistent and science-fiction based, with fast and fun laser gun fights. Monsters are smart and will find the best path to attack your defenses. The difficulty progresses as you defeat monsters, so you can progress at your own pace and challenge yourself when you're ready. You can also build a drone for your AI companion, which has survived the crash and can give you useful advice and even help you fight the monsters.

The world of Dig or Die is huge and features a global, real-time simulation of the environment, physics, water cycle and lighting. You can build solar panels and hydroelectric generators to power your base's most advanced items. Plants will naturally grow and spread if their life-conditions are met, so you can create farms with artificial sun lamps and irrigation. The world is procedurally generated, with major areas specific to benefit from a logical game progression, but detailed layout of surface, caverns, ores, etc. are unique at each playthrough.

Crafting and base construction are essential to Dig or Die. You'll dig minerals, harvest plants and kill monsters to craft better items and defenses. Digging is fast, your inventory space is infinite and all crafting recipes are displayed, so you don't need to waste time grinding or searching for wikis. When it comes to building your fortress, you won't find hundreds of flowerpots or tapestries, but rather turrets, strong walls and useful machines.
