Dead Space™ 3 Awakened is a horror-filled action game released in 2020 by Visceral Games and published by Electronic Arts. It is the third and darkest chapter in the Dead Space saga. In this installment, Isaac Clarke and John Carver are left for dead on the desolate and hostile planet of Tau Volantis, and must embark on a harrowing journey of survival.

The two protagonists are faced with an ever-growing sense of paranoia and uncertainty as they traverse the unforgiving world. With tensions escalating between them, they must learn to trust one another in order to make it out alive. As they make their way through the ruins of ancient civilizations, they discover the Terra Nova, a derelict ship that has been taken over by a sadistic cult of Unitologists.

Isaac and John must now fight their way through the ship and its hordes of Necromorphs, the reanimated corpses of dead crew members. The Necromorphs come in all shapes and sizes, with some being more powerful than others. The two must also battle their own inner demons, as they grapple with their mounting fear and dread.

The game utilizes an advanced engine, allowing for a more immersive experience. Dynamic lighting and shadows create a feeling of dread and tension, while advanced particle effects and lifelike animations bring the environment to life. The player is in control of both Isaac and John, switching between the two depending on the situation.

The game also features a unique weapon crafting system. Players can build and customize their own tools of destruction, such as the Javelin Gun and Flamethrower. These weapons can then be upgraded and enhanced with a variety of attachments.

Dead Space™ 3 Awakened also features an extensive co-op mode, allowing two players to take on the game together. With new challenges and puzzles to solve, players must use their combined skills to survive the journey.

The game also features an intense and atmospheric soundtrack, composed by award-winning composer Jason Graves. From ominous strings to intense percussion, the score heightens the tension and dread of the game.
