The Cursed Golfer has been trapped in Golf Purgatory after a freak accident just as they were about to take the winning shot of an international tournament. Now they must navigate the perils of Golf Purgatory and play through a series of challenging courses in order to break the curse and finally win the tournament.

The Cursed Golfer has been trapped in an eternity of Golf Purgatory, cursed to play golf forever. After a freak accident took him out as he was about to take the winning shot of an international tournament, he must now find his way back to the land of the living and the trophy he was about to win. He must traverse the devious courses across Golf Purgatory, aided by the ghostly Legendary Caddies.

Each course in Golf Purgatory is filled with mad obstacles like high powered fans, spikes, TNT boxes, and teleporters. The Cursed Golfer must make his way through each hole within the PAR Count or risk being taken back to the beginning of the course. To help him on his quest for redemption and revival, the Cursed Golfer can use Birdie-Eye to catch a view of the whole course and see what trials lie ahead. Gold and silver Shot Idols are peppered throughout the holes, smashing through them with a cinematic flourish will replenish the Cursed Golfer's shots.

In addition to these Shot Idols, the Cursed Golfer also has Ace Cards which will turn the odds back in his favour. These cards allow him to channel his otherworldly powers to manipulate the game in incredible ways. Scattershot, U-Turn, Rocketball, and Mulligans are just some of the over twenty unique Ace Card power-ups that the Cursed Golfer can use to turn the tide back in his favour.

Players will explore the golf-themed world and characters of Golf Purgatory as they traverse the randomly-ordered courses in four biomes. With over seventy holes to complete, the Cursed Golfer will be swinging for eternity in this twisted take on the classic game. To challenge the world, players can post their scores on online leaderboards.
