Booker DeWitt, a veteran of the U.S. Cavalry and now a hired gun, is in dire straits - he owes money to some very dangerous people and his life hangs in the balance. His only chance at redemption is to rescue Elizabeth, a young woman who has been held prisoner since childhood in the airborne city of Columbia. He must succeed in this mission in order to wipe away his debts and start anew.

Booker DeWitt is a former U.S. Cavalry soldier who has found himself in debt to the wrong people and is now facing the consequences of his actions. His only hope for a clean slate is to rescue a mysterious girl named Elizabeth, who has been held captive in the flying city of Columbia since childhood. Booker and Elizabeth form a close bond during their daring escape, and together they must use a variety of weapons and abilities to survive the threats of the city.

The floating metropolis of Columbia is a technological marvel, beautiful and vibrant yet hiding a dark secret. Booker and Elizabeth must fight their way through the air-city using a combination of firearms, Zeppelins, Sky-Lines, and Vigors. Vigors are special abilities that allow Booker to throw fireballs, shoot lightning, and unleash murder of crows on his enemies. He can also open Tears in time and space to gain access to weapons, turrets, and other resources.
