About Barotrauma Game

Barotrauma is a 2D co-op submarine simulator set in space that combines elements of survival horror. Players must take control of their submarine, give orders, fight monsters, fix leaks, operate machinery, man the guns and craft items to survive. Staying alert is essential as danger in Barotrauma never announces itself.

Welcome to the hostile and treacherous environment of Europa, the icy moon of Jupiter. Barotrauma is a 2D co-op survival horror submarine simulator that takes place in this unforgiving world. Players must work together as a crew to survive, explore, and stay alert. With procedurally generated maps, missions, and monsters, plus a variety of game modes, no two adventures in Barotrauma are the same.

The game offers six player classes, each with their own unique skills and tasks. From the Captain to the Security Officer, the crew must cooperate to navigate the treacherous waters and complete their mission. Operate complex machinery, such as the sonar, nuclear reactor, weapons, engines, and pumps. Players can also craft items and use the medical system to help their crewmates.

Barotrauma also features built-in editors for submarines, characters, and procedural animations. Players can share and discover mods directly via the community. All data is exposed in xml and the game’s source code is available for anyone to view and modify.

The game can be enjoyed in multiplayer with 2-16 players on a submarine, or in single player mode. Supplement your player count with bots, or play with friends, strangers, or enemies.
