Asterix & Obelix XXL 3 - The Crystal Menhir is an exciting adventure game that takes players on a journey through the world of Asterix. The game is set in 50 B.C., when Gaul is entirely occupied by the Romans, except for one small village of indomitable Gauls who still hold out against the invaders. Life is not easy for the Roman legionaries who garrison the fortified camps of Totorum, Aquarium, Laudanum, and Compendium. Meanwhile, peace reigns in the small Armorican village, where the villagers go about their daily business.

The two heroes of the game are Asterix and Obelix, who hunt wild boar while the blacksmith and the fishmonger quarrel. The village chief strolls around the village square atop his shield. One day, the village druid, Getafix, receives a strange letter from Avina Gandir, the high priestess of Thule. She warns the druid of a grave threat to his people and asks him to take a mysterious Menhir out of its hiding place.

As the player, you'll take on the role of Asterix and Obelix in two-player co-op mode. This is the first time in the Asterix XXL Saga that players can play as both characters at once. The game is a fantastic adventure to share as a family or with a friend.
