In Ariel, a Sci-Fi, space terror game, players will take on the role of Ferdinand Ludec as he attempts to survive and escape his dire situation. Hunger, avoiding insanity and extreme weather will be some of the threats to face as players explore a partially procedural world with multiple endings. Ariel is an intense survival experience based on a Sci-Fi, space terror script. Players take on the role of Ferdinand Ludec, a mathematician suddenly kidnapped and forced into a drama. He arrives in Ariel, one of Uranus’ moons, only to find an entire crew of scientists dead. Ludec’s knowledge of Electro Mono-Pole theory puts him in an extreme situation which will test his inner endurance.

As players explore the partially procedurally generated world, they’ll navigate through a multitude of threats in order to unravel the story of the black budget project funded by a mysterious group of men. Hunger, avoiding insanity and extreme weather changes are just a few of the things players will need to face in order to survive. Ariel offers a unique survival adventure with different endings to the story and replayability as one of its assets.

The game features survival mechanics, with dozens of items, enemies to hunt down and survival skills needed to succeed and escape the isolated moon. Internal stats are displayed in the player’s interface to keep track of hunger, dehydration, and mood. The station systems and resources also need to be managed. An open world with mysteries to explore and weather events that react to players’ decisions are also part of the experience.

Ariel offers different levels of difficulty for experienced players, with both first and third person modes available. The sound design has been carefully created to complement the project’s atmosphere and story line, with mixed feelings and a Sci-fi OST featuring both experimental and classical sounds. The game was developed by a small team, with the lead programmer having worked on various projects in the past such as Kerbal Space Program, and the second developer being a musician with experience on Playstation releases.
