ALIEN FIELD is an action-packed, rogue-like dot eater game that will take your gaming experience to a whole new level. With its psychedelic visuals and high-intensity gameplay, it's guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat.

In this game, the aliens have invaded and are wreaking havoc in the field. It's up to you, and optionally a friend, to face endless waves of extraterrestrial evil. Your goal is to achieve the highest score possible within a three-minute time limit.

To score points, you must destroy aliens and collect energy canisters. As you progress, you'll enter new stages with more scoring opportunities and dangers. One of the key strategies in the game is to utilize a high-intensity dash-attack, which allows you to instantly wipe out a row of aliens for a massive combo bonus. However, this burst of speed can only be stopped by colliding with a wall or item, so mastering this technique is crucial for efficiently clearing stages and earning tons of points.

In addition to the dash-attack, you also have a cannon at your disposal. This weapon is highly effective at keeping foes at bay and can be a game-changer in tight situations. If you're playing with a friend, combining your energies will result in a mighty forcefield, providing even more power to smash through waves of aliens.

ALIEN FIELD offers three versions of the game to suit different player preferences. The first version, ALIEN FIELD 3671, is the ultimate evolution of the classic Microcomputer game. Instead of a traditional "lives" system, players now have to contend with a time limit. Throughout the game, you'll encounter various items that can increase your score and add time. Additionally, bombs can be found and detonated, allowing you to lay waste to scores of enemies. This version features contributions from four different composers, including Swedish electronic group Ibojima and Junko Ozawa, known for composing classic Namco games.

The second version, ALIEN FIELD Arrange Version, builds upon the original game but introduces new features and a more accessible level of difficulty. The background music in this version uses the equivalent of a PCG-8100 sound source, providing an authentic and immersive audio experience.

Finally, the third version, simply titled ALIEN FIELD, is a faithful port of the original PC-8001 game that was first published in BASIC magazine back in May 1981. This version pays homage to the game's roots and allows players to experience the nostalgia of the classic game.
