Alice Escaped! is a 2D action Metroidvania game that takes place in the magical world of Wonderland. Players will take on the roles of Usada and Kotora, two curious characters who have stumbled into a strange world of grimoires and must find a way to return home. To do so, they must search for a mysterious girl named Alice who holds the key to their escape.

The game features a rich and exhilarating battle system that is wrapped up in cuteness. Players will swing Usada's giant hammer to pulverize their enemies with powerful melee attacks or use Kotora's submachine gun and bombs to take out enemies from a distance. Switching between the two characters will allow players to chain impressive combos, which will increase their attack power and make it easier to defeat waves of enemies.

One of the core points of the game is its stylish, tag-team battle system. Players will have to take out enemies to build up their Chance Gauge, which can be used to perform supporting attacks and devastating ultimate attacks. Boss fights are particularly intense, as players will have to whittle down the boss's Shield Gauge to break their shields, allowing them to unleash a flurry of attacks. However, they must be careful as bosses have a variety of powerful attacks that can hit back hard.

As players progress through the game, they will collect skill crystals that can be used to improve their characters' skills. They can improve their weapons, which will unlock unique skills, or focus on their stats and movement. They can also pick up skills to help them convince others to join their team. If players find themselves stuck on a difficult boss, they can spend some time away from the main path to help our heroes grow stronger.

Scattered throughout the world are death matches, which are areas where players cannot proceed without defeating all of the enemies there. If players can finish them with a high-count combo or without taking any damage, they can earn skill crystal fragments. Furthermore, the game features multiple endings, numerous major choices to be made, a story that repeats itself, and the true goals of the characters are revealed. This makes for an adventure the likes of which players have never experienced before.

The game is developed by illuCalab, the studio behind A Magical High School Girl, and published by Sekai Project. It is set to be released on January 27th, 2023. The game features character illustrations by the talented PicPicGram, who has previously worked on titles such as Ninja Girl and Japanese School Life. Players can choose from two playable characters and two difficulties.
