The protagonist of this lonely life is you, leaving your hometown and journeying to a strange world, full of prosperity and coldness, strangeness and reality. Whether you like it or despise it, you have the choice to make of it what you will.

Descending from the skies, a strange world awaits you. A mix of magic and reality, you are presented with a choice: be consumed by the tide of the times, or pick up your courage and change your destiny? Welcome to MidNights of Desperado – an interactive novel, puzzle-solving game, and real-time combat experience.

You take on the role of the protagonist, Jess Vetlana, in a future world where the global situation is in decline. In order to support her family, she is forced to seek employment in a hostile foreign country, and luckily lands a job in the Red Moon Sect – the only magic group in the world. But in this international city, every big and small force is competing for their own interests, so she must make a choice. Will she remain self-contained, or do whatever it takes to gain power, knowledge and uncover the secrets of the complex world?

The game revolves around the daily work and life of the players. You will start from the bottom and slowly earn ‘prestige’ in the society to eventually promote yourself. You can explore the city and uncover hidden secrets, while also solving puzzles and completing tasks. Interacting with NPCs, you can choose between gratitude and resentment, and even between being a pawn to others or changing human history.

Cultivation and collection are also important aspects of the game. Clothes with different effects, long-range weapons, food, pets, homes, collections, technology and magic props are all available to discover. Thinking is also a powerful weapon in a civilized society – you can use your knowledge and break through the world of black box technology to interpret the minds of others.

The plot is the core of MidNights of Desperado, with three main lines leading to different ending combinations. You’ll have to make tough decisions, such as choosing between honesty or deceit, stealth or confrontation, and between being smart and being radical. There are 21 achievements to complete, and with the God mode, you can quickly experience other plots and win the achievements.

This small RPG is a mix of fantasy and reality, with a lot of free space for the players to explore and experience. With a playtime of nine to twelve hours and a lot of dialogue, you’ll get to understand the complex and confusing world of MidNights. Will you choose to surrender to reality, or pick up courage and change your fate?
