VenusBlood GAIA is an international game that offers players an immersive dungeon defense SRPG (Strategy Role-Playing Game) experience. Set in the decaying world of Palastra, players embark on an impossible quest to rescue the once-shining gem of the Golden Age. Centuries have passed since the Golden Age, and the world has entered the Twilight Age. During this time, the oceans have receded, birthrates have plummeted, and a mysterious plague has ravaged the land. The world is now infested with grotesque creatures of unknown origin, adding to the chaos and despair.

However, amidst the darkness, there is a glimmer of hope. Theofrad, the Archduke of the Sorcerous City of Energeia, has discovered a new energy source called Ether. This newfound energy may hold the key to saving the realm from its impending doom. Unfortunately, the Holy Dragon Empire Granleyd has declared the use of Ether as heresy and has initiated a holy war against Energeia. Theofrad is determined to save the world and must face the Empire in a battle for survival.

Players join Archduke Theofrad in his efforts to save the decaying world using the power of Ether and his revolutionary Arcane Avatar Theory. As the underdog in the war against the Empire, Theofrad cannot confront them directly. Instead, he relies on the Labyrinth defense system found in the Sorcerous City of Energeia. By strategically setting traps and positioning defenders, Theofrad can ensnare and trap invading forces before eliminating them. Assisting him in his mission are his Succubus Secretary, Rein, the Artificial Embryo, Lala, and a mysterious young girl named Titie. Together, they prepare the labyrinth to thwart any would-be invaders.

The core gameplay of VenusBlood GAIA revolves around Labyrinth Dungeon Defense. Players must set traps, position defenders, and prepare for enemy invasions. As the master of the labyrinth, players have complete control over the board and the pieces on it.

Additionally, the game features Battalion Battles, which involve three divisions of six units each. Players enter battle with all 18 units at their disposal, allowing them to decimate the enemies trapped in their labyrinth.
