In this apocalyptic setting, the alien beings did not come from the sky, but rather emerged from beneath the ground. Their first appearance resulted in the destruction of everything on Earth. Now, players find themselves trapped in a high-rise building, once familiar and friendly spaces like shopping malls, offices, and residences now evoke fear and a sense of emptiness. Surviving in The Highrise requires careful attention to noise. The alien monsters, known as "sniffers," possess heightened senses of hearing and smell.
