Marnie and Lisbeth return to Fenchapel to visit Marnie’s grandmother, but their trip takes an unexpected turn when they come face to face with two figures they thought were dead. As they embark on a journey to uncover the truth, they must also solve the mysteries of The Fairy's Secret Game, the sequel to The Fairy's Song.

Marnie and her girlfriend Lisbeth had been living together for two years since the events of The Fairy's Song. Despite her preference for dark, dreary, and eerie clothing, Marnie was happy and content with her life. She had been accepted into an art university in London, and her relationship with Lisbeth was going well.

But the one thing that had been making Marnie anxious was the health of her elderly grandmother, Iris, who lived in a small, picturesque village called Fenchapel. Worrying that she would regret it later, Marnie and Lisbeth decided to go visit Iris during the summer holidays.

What they weren't expecting, however, was to run into a familiar face in Iris' garden. Edmund, the vengeful knight who had pursued Marnie and Lisbeth through the forest, had returned. Edmund warned Marnie and Lisbeth to stay away from the forest, as something was not right since his "awakening".
