System Shock: Enhanced Edition is an action-adventure role-playing game set in a cyberpunk future. The game was initially released in 1994 by Looking Glass Studios and has been rebuilt from the original source code, giving players a free update.

Players take on the role of a renowned hacker, the most notorious cyberspace thief in the corporate world. After being caught during a risky break-in, they become indentured to Diego, a greedy Trioptium exec who bankrolls a rare cyberjack implant operation. After six months in a healing coma, the hacker awakens to the twisted aftermath of a terrible disaster, discovering that Citadel is now teeming with mindless cyborgs, robots and mutated beings, all programmed to serve SHODAN, a ruthless A.I.

The Enhanced Edition features higher resolution support up to 4K widescreen mode, mouselook support, rebindable keyboard/mouse/joystick commands, support for both Direct3D and OpenGL, adjustable FOV, smoother camera rotation and translation, improved control scheme, brand new achievements, remappable keys and a unified options menu, as well as many original game bugs fixed.

Players must battle armies of killer cyborgs and robots as they collect hardware attachments, life-sustaining patches and weapons to combat the mutations. There are also puzzles to solve, access panels to rewire and SHODAN to outwit in its own cyber-realm.

Included with the Enhanced Edition is a Quick Start Guide, the original Manual (in English, German and French), game maps, the Official Origin Hint Book, a Strategy Guide, OST (in midi, MP3 and FLAC), and a TV Commercial.
