Welcome to the sleepy town of Scarlet Hollow, a rural mountain town in North Carolina that has just been stirred up by the horrors that have descended upon it. It all started when a deadly coal mine collapse sealed off the mines and strange creatures began to haunt the livestock. Houses were infested with vengeful spirits, but you have come to town for a different purpose: to meet your long-lost cousin and comfort her through her mother’s funeral.

Your goal is to survive the week, but you may not make it to the end in one piece. In this immersive horror-mystery game, you will be faced with tense moments and horrific imagery, but also snappy dialogue and charming characters. Your choices and relationships you forge will significantly impact your journey, as the game features a heavily branching narrative.

You will be able to take on various roles as you progress through the game, and interact with the environment using 21 different character builds. Dialogue is driven by trait-based role-playing elements and you will be able to build relationships with the people in town, ranging from friendly rivals to bitter adversaries.

Scarlet Hollow also features original monster designs inspired by Appalachian myths and cryptids, and no jumpscares. You can also look forward to touching romance and hundreds of hand-drawn and traditionally inked backgrounds. Every major character has dozens, and often hundreds, of hand-drawn sprites that interact with backgrounds, making for a truly immersive experience.
