As a TEC Engineer from Earth, you have been assigned a crucial mission to retrieve sensitive data from the TEC Mining Facility on Titan. However, upon your arrival, you quickly realize that the facility has been invaded by beings from another realm, adding an element of cosmic horror to your mission.

In Retchid, you will experience intense and visceral combat, combined with exploration and light puzzle solving. Your primary objective as a TEC Engineer is to retrieve and return the classified research data and encryption keys from the offline encrypted data module deep within the Mining Facility. This research, conducted by the Terra Excavation Corp (TEC), has uncovered something nefarious hidden beneath Titan's surface. The information is classified, and it is crucial to bring it back to Earth.

However, as you step foot on Titan, you quickly realize that you are the sole survivor. The facility has been overrun by deadly enemies from another realm. In order to complete your mission and escape Titan, you must fight through these abominations across multiple worlds.

Retchid offers over 20 non-linear levels split across 3 episodes, providing a diverse and engaging gameplay experience. Each level has been meticulously hand-crafted to create a unique atmosphere, reminiscent of level design philosophies from older generation games. As you explore, you will uncover secrets, find collectibles, and discover weapon and suit upgrades. Additionally, you will come across PDAs that contain valuable information about what happened at the TEC Mining Facility.

With 10 different weapons at your disposal, you have the freedom to mix and match to create devastating combinations against your enemies. Each weapon can be upgraded 2-3 times, unlocking a secondary firing mode that changes the flow of combat. Furthermore, your suit can also be upgraded, increasing armor capacity and ammo capacity, among other enhancements.

To keep track of your progress and gather valuable information, you will utilize the Personal Data Assistant (PDA). This device allows you to read emails and logs from TEC employees, providing insights into the events that took place at the facility. The equipment tab in the PDA helps you keep track of your weapons and suit upgrades, ensuring you are prepared for any encounter. Additionally, the PDA tracks your primary and secondary objectives, allowing you to stay focused on your mission. Various collectibles you find can be read about in the PDA, adding depth to the game's lore. Finally, the PDA also stores gameplay statistics, such as kills, player deaths, health packs found, and ammo discovered, providing a comprehensive overview of your performance.
