Resident Evil 6 is an action and survival horror game that was released in 2013, developed and published by Capcom. The game introduces the innovative Crossover mechanic which allows up to four players to join together online at key moments during the game to tackle certain situations. Not only does each story cross paths, but so does the action. The game also features an evolved control system allowing players to shoot while moving, slide, roll in any direction, and take cover along with an enhanced melee attack.

The game also features the highly popular Mercenaries Mode, where the player is tasked with eliminating all the enemies in each stage within the given time limit, as well as the Mercenaries No Mercy mode which has twice as many enemies as the original mode. Additionally, the game also includes seven additional stages in the Extra Content Modes as standard on the PC version, which were previously available as DLC on the console versions.

The PC version also includes a free Left 4 Dead 2 Crossover Patch, scheduled to be released on April 5, 2013. This patch allows players to play as their favorite Left 4 Dead 2 characters and battle against the infected as enemies. The game is also compatible with all the latest features that have been added to the console versions, and is compatible with RE.NET.
