Rain World: Downpour is a DLC expansion of the beloved Rain World, taking survivors on a journey to uncharted and harsh lands. Players take control of five new characters with unique abilities, each adapted to the new environment. The five characters available to choose from are The Rivulet, an aquatic slugcat, The Gourmand, a culinary expert, The Artificer, a master of pyrotechnics and explosives, The Spearmaster, a needle-weilding creature, and The Saint, able to use its long tongue to grip far away objects.

In addition to the characters, Downpour features a variety of modes and options for players to experience.
