About Outcast 1.1 Game

Outcast 1.1 is an enhanced version of the 1999 action-adventure game Outcast, developed by Appeal and critically acclaimed upon its initial release. The original game was released for PC, but the enhanced version is available across multiple platforms.

In 2007, the U.S. government launched a remarkable mission to a parallel universe, a mission with an aim to send a probe to explore the alien world. As the probe was transmitting video images to Earth, something unexpected happened. An alien life form, who had spotted the probe, damaged it, leading to a catastrophic backlash of energy that had the potential to create a black hole and devastate Earth. To prevent this from happening, the government called upon former U.S. Navy SEAL Cutter Slade to take three scientists - William Kauffmann, Anthony Xue and Marion Wolfe - on a mission to the alien world to recover the probe and stop the threat.

Upon arriving in the alien world, Cutter was separated from the other scientists, and the natives hailed him as their messiah, the Ulukai. However, their mission was far from over, as they now had to find a way to recover the probe, prevent the black hole from forming, and discover the secrets and mysteries of the alien world.

Now, in 2014, Fresh3D is bringing you Outcast 1.1, an enhanced version of the original Outcast game. This version has been recompiled from the original source code and improved to run smoothly on today's computers. The main improvements compared to the original version are: a multithreaded voxel renderer for higher performance, software bilinear filtering on polygonal meshes, part of the HUD redesigned to match higher resolutions, new high-resolution sky paintings, a new launcher, native support for Xbox gamepads, a user-friendly controller configuration, and numerous bug fixes and improved stability.

The original Outcast was one of the first 3D games to feature non-linear gameplay, free-roaming environments, combats against clever reactive AI, excellent voice acting, symphonic music, and over 20 hours of highly engrossing adventure. It was critically acclaimed to the point it has reached some cult status among many PC gamers.

Outcast 1.1 offers a unique blend of action and exploration, in an incredibly detailed world. Players can explore a vast array of landscapes and environments, from huge cities to mysterious ancient ruins. Along the way, they will encounter hostile aliens and make use of the many weapons and gadgets available to them. The alien world is filled with secrets, and players will discover the truth of the world while they progress through the game.

Players will also be able to choose their own playstyle, as the game features both a stealth and action-oriented approach. Players can choose to be stealthy and avoid combat, or go in guns blazing and shoot their way through the alien world. The choice is theirs.
