As the player, you take on the role of humanity's last hope, a sage born with a natural connection to the Ateyan. You are the only one capable of calling them forth from the void between the real world and the Rift. Your mission is to traverse the vast and varied wilderness of Akama, collect an army of Ateyan, train and develop them, and uncover the long-forgotten secrets of the island.

The island of Akama has a long and terrible history, and the disappearance of the Ateyan destroyed human civilization, leaving behind precious few survivors and an endless array of secrets waiting to be discovered. As you awaken the Ateyan, you will be able to harness their power and use it to overcome the challenges that lie ahead.

The game's mechanics are centered around turn-based combat, where teams of up to four Ateyan square off against one another on a grid. You will need to think and strategize to overcome your opponents and emerge victorious. As you progress through the game, you will gather resources to upgrade your equipment and help the awakened Ateyan grow and train.

The game features 72 Ateyan to gather, command, and develop into mighty fighters. Additionally, special mutation forms can be unlocked by harnessing the island's special resources and salvaging the ruins of a lost civilization.
